Children
The children's area is overflowing with excitement. We want our children to come, not just to "nursery," but also to a place of fun, safety, and biblical learning where they experience God's Word in a relevant and meaningful way. Even babies can learn and sense God's love, and feel secure as dedicated teachers care for them at Sandy Level Baptist Church!
Where are the Preschool & Children's rooms?
Go to our Welcome Center where a greeter will find just the right room for your child and will personally take you there! To reach the Welcome Center, directional signs will point the way. Or you can find your child’s classroom in Blackmon Hall.
Our Purpose
Preschool Ministry
To help each child:
- associate God, Jesus, and the Bible with happy feelings.
- make progress in solving problems, sharing and expressing him or herself.
- know that the Bible is a special book that tells about God and Jesus.
- think of church as my church, the happy place.
- begin thinking of others and adjusting to their interests.
Children's Ministry
The purpose of Children's Ministry at Sandy Level Baptist Church is to lead boys and girls in a growing understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what it means to know Him as Savior and Lord.
We are committed to providing children with a strong foundation of faith through:
- Encouraging boys and girls to become faithful followers of Jesus.
- Guiding boys and girls in developing skills in using and interpreting the Bible.
- Challenging boys and girls to apply Bible teachings in all aspects of their daily lives.
For our children’s safety, please be aware that SLBC implements background checks and has an ID sticker system to insure that parents who drop off their preschoolers are the ones that pickup your child. All children, members or not, are required to use the sticker IDs.

6:45 p.m Mission Friends, Girls in Action (GA's), Royal Ambassadors (RA's)

9:45 a.m. Sunday School
10:55 a.m. Worship Services, Children’s Church and Childcare
5:00 p.m. Bible Buddies (1st - 3rd grades) and Bible Drill (4th - 6th grades)
6:00 p.m. Dinner for the children in the Fellowship Hall
6:30 p.m. Children’s Choir (2nd - 6th grades)
