Sandy Level Baptist Church is proud to announce Mr. Jake McClure as our new youth minister effective September 1, 2008. Jake is looking forward to launching into the new school year with our youth program.
Jake McClure joined Sandy Level Baptist Church as its Youth Minister in September 2008. He is a native of North Carolina and is currently in Liberty University's Distance Learning Program completing his degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Youth Ministries. Jake comes to SLBC with a background in Camp Ministry, Youth Ministry and teaching. Prior to coming to SLBC, Jake worked with Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute and most recently for InQuest Ministries as their Summer Camp Director. Along with his camp experience Jake has served as both a Youth Director and taught Bible Class at a Christian School.
Jake has chosen Deuteronomy 6:4-9 as the foundation for the Youth Ministry. This scripture places parents as the primary Disciple Makers of their children. His goal for the Youth Ministry of SLBC is to be Biblically based and focused on four cornerstone areas: Family, Education, Service, and Relationships.
